God Cares About Our Decisions – Jeremiah 33:3

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” — King James Bible

What to do now?

The longer you go through life, the more the list of questions may pile up. Love, career, relocation, education…

We may not get the flying-blimp-in-the-sky-message we’re looking for, but our God is certain to direct our steps if we pray for His will in our lives. That’s a divine promise we can take to the bank.

We pray Jeremiah’s verse has lifted your soul and given you a brighter day!

Early Believer / Mature Believer + Application

Early walk

When I first turned to the Lord for salvation, it seemed He directed me more obviously. Decisions appeared, at the time, to resolve themselves. Clear-cut pathways emerged from labyrinthine mazes of complexity. For a new believer, that was so reassuring, but those pathways weren’t always easy. Truly, our God is great!

Advanced walk

It’s now decades later, after my salvation decision. As a mature believer, I see pathways less obviously (ironically, probably because I overthink them ALL the time). I’ll be the first to admit I need to be on my knees, praying more, and seeking His Will.

Application

Seek God’s Will for your life. Be in prayer always, giving every thought to how God wants you to proceed on matters small and great. Sometimes you have to throw your hands in the air and swim by faith when the billboards are blank.

Additional Scripture Resources

Both Old and New Testaments speak volumes about seeking God’s guidance and why we should seek His Will:

I Peter 5:7: – “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

Romans 8:32 – “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

Proverbs 16:9 – “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”

Psalm 37:4 – “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

Matthew 7:7 – “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
